I’m Ana, an emerging Mexican-born and raised artist currently living in Waialua, Hawaii. I have a double Bachelor of Science in Art & Illustration and Digital Cinematography and come from a long family line of artists and designers.
I’ve been drawing since I could hold a crayon, and I find inspiration in dreams and real-life desolate landscapes, such as the mountains and oceans of Mexico and Hawaii and the southwestern deserts of the Continental US. I work across multiple two-dimensional media, including acrylic paint, watercolor and paint markers, graphite, pen & ink, and epoxy resin, and am beginning to branch out into 3D media, experimenting with found-item sculpture, clay, and textiles.
I seek to create art that absorbs the viewer in the scene and makes them feel like they’re part of a story rather than simply standing and looking at a piece on a wall.
